The Way to BE

Changing the Food Supply

I’ve decided to dedicate this newsletter to the work of a good friend in the hopes that it will make a difference in the food that is available to us.

I have spent the last 30 years teaching people to use food as medicine.

It has become increasingly difficult to purchase the high quality foods that are essential to rebuilding the immune system and recovering health.

Almost 15 years ago, I first met Jordan Rubin, right after he had healed himself of a devastating autoimmune disease. He has since gone on to create Garden of Life and write the best-selling The Maker’s Diet.

One statistic Jordan gave me recently was that farms are only required to feed cows 30% grass to call them organic and grass-fed.  It is because of the troubling nature of factory farming that I am writing you.

Jordan has purchased nearly 9,000 certified organic acres in Missouri and Georgia that will not only produce the quality of healing foods that I have recommended for years but also change the way Americans view truly sustainable farming. Or, at least, that is my hope.

Jordan’s company, Beyond Organic, is a direct to consumer model. I, like many of you, traditionally look at these companies skeptically. However, the quality of these products surpass what is available in the market today for most of us, and while I’m excited to use them myself, I believe they may be the right choice for you or a loved one dealing with chronic health problems.

Here’s a link to a video on what Jordan is trying to bring to the world: www.beyondorganicinsider.com/becomeaninsider.aspx?enroller=43987

To a Happier and Healthier World,

Donna

RE: Sue Cooper: What? "Rubin is known as not having quality supplements in the vitamin world?" That statement is absolutely false. It is quite the opposite. It's true that he was frustratingly slow getting on the organic bandwagon, but the quality and absorbability of his products is virtually undisputed by those of us in the natural health field. The "vitamin world" Sue Cooper mysteriously references is a sham; a low-grade, deceptive, commercial machine that sells isolated vitamins from shady sources, that we are mostly unable to digest. Digestion is the ultimate key to any supplement you take. If you cannot digest it, it does no good, and Garden of Life products make digestibility a chief concern. Who else offers RAW protein and greens, that are not heated and processed beyond usefulness?
I don't know him personally, but I have high respect for his products. I use them every day, to good effect. My gigantic local Whole Foods is daily sold out of the Raw Meal powder (four columns wide on shelf!), which proves that I am not alone.
I sense a jealous competitor. That baseless post comment only makes me more interested in checking out his newest venture, which I am just now learning about, thanks to this article Donna posted.

I also use Jordan Rubin's supplements and love them. I signed up to be a mission marketer and I am in the process of deciding which product package to order. I can't wait to try them.

Thanks Donna for letting us know about Beyond Organics.

    Sue:
Why do you say Rubin does not have quality supplements? My chiropractor who is board certified in nutrition thinks they are great

I think Jordan Rubin has some of the best Vitamins you can buy. I'm really looking forward to his Beyond Organic Products. I have some friends who know him really well. He has put his heart and soul into this New Company. The launch date is Oct, 31st. I can't wait! I've already put my order in to try some of everything..

I felt like I was mislead. I clicked on the video link...signed up but I thought I was going to be given the options from the video: Retail or preferred or mission marketer.

I wanted to know MORE about buying retail, food coming to my door or preferred. Didn't see that...only saw mission marketer info.

Do I have the options of what food I want to buy??? Rubin is known as not having quality supplements in the vitamin world. Is this another non-quality issue????
