Want to Live a Long, Healthy Life? Stop Thinking!
By Donna Gates, as seen on:
Have you ever wondered why your life is one way, when you dream of another?
Have you ever worried that your mistakes in the past may carry into the future?
Or if you will have the resources that you need to take you where you want to go?
We all have had these thoughts. And while they may seem harmless enough, too much worry drains the body of physical health.
It’s like this: If you want the greatest physical health possible, stop the mind chatter.
Or think very little.
Much of the time, thoughts are spent worrying about the past or the future. This is a waste of mental energy.
In Chinese medicine, worry is an emotion that exhausts the digestive force in the body. It can weaken the muscles, stunt the immune system, and even generate a type of blood deficiency or anemia.
You can support the digestive force in the body by eating fermented foods on a daily basis. These are foods like homemade sauerkraut, lacto-fermented pickles, or truly fermented yogurt. If you have a difficult time breaking down certain foods, you can also take supplemental enzymes that can help with things like heartburn, bloating and even achy joints.
Another thing that you can do, and this one may surprise you, is to bounce on a mini trampoline or rebounder.
Bouncing on a mini trampoline creates a push-pull in between the layers of connective tissue within the body. When you bounce, everything moves. Bouncing tones muscles, especially those that can’t see or feel. Bouncing also unlocks areas in the body that feel stiff or painful. It fortifies the digestive system, the lymphatic system and the immune system.
By supporting the digestive energy of the body, you can counteract the effects of worry and even limit how much or how often you worry.
Of course, one of the best things to do about destructive habitual thoughts is to let go of them.
If you want to live long and live healthy, stop thinking. You will find that even though you are not thinking, you are still able to interact with your environment and with others.
When you stop thinking, worrying and wondering, you stop trying to fix yourself.
You stop processing the past and you stop getting rid of emotional baggage. You stop making ultimatums with yourself. You stop analyzing. And you stop thinking that tomorrow has the answers that you have been looking for.
Instead, you realize that you are now completely who you are. You drop the personal identity and unite with divine consciousness. You get into the present moment and come into contact with a vastness that lights you up.
The Uni-verse shapes itself around what you believe. Whatever picture you hold of yourself, whether perfect or imperfect, the Uni-verse supports.
Instead of worry, direct your concentration towards awareness and expression.
And instead of feeling tired and drained of energy, feel empowered and delighted by your own creative ability.
