Some Key Reasons Why Canola Should be Avoided at All Costs

Donna Gates Note #1:

Occasionally we get letters from our newsletter subscribers that are just too good – and important – not to share. This letter below came to us in response to our recent article, Why the Processing of Consumable Oils has Devastated America’s Health, from one of our readers, Dr. Scott Treadway, an author, medical researcher and nutritional development specialist for the last 30 years in the food and nutraceutical industry.

I greatly appreciated your recent article on quality oils. In fact, I ordered some of the Austria’s Finest pumpkin seed oil from you.

Speaking of oils, as you know, canola oil is a bad oil and not fit for human consumption. It is interesting that canola oil use began as an industrial lubricant and was not used for human consumption for many years. Then, in China it gained some popularity because it was cheap and plentiful.

Today, everyone thinks canola oil is healthy because it is low in saturated fat, but so is motor oil!! In Asian medical literature it states plainly “that Canola oil (Rapeseed oil) should be avoided.”

Oriental medicine recommends avoidance of rapeseeds and the oil for ingestion because it causes infertility in women and impotence in men over long term use. Maybe that is a good thing from the Chinese government point of view, but not a healthy way to control the population since other health problems beyond those will develop.
These days it is hard to find any “health” foods that are supposed to have good oils that don’t include canola oil in the product. This is also true for many other non-natural foods and food snacks like chips, soups, cereals, etc. It seems like canola is everywhere and it is poisonous.

I hope we can someday permanently remove canola from the food system since it should never have been there in the first place. It is just a matter of education.

Donna Gates Note #2:

While we will be writing more about the dangers of canola oil in future newsletter issues, I thought this letter did a great job of introducing the problem.

As Scott states, it is indeed just a matter of education. … and that is where I want to ask YOU for a favor. Can you forward this piece to your friends and relatives to help spread this important warning about canola oil, and encourage them to sign up for the free Body Ecology newsletter at https://bodyecology.com/signup.php.

Because we don’t have an advertising department, we entirely depend on your word-of-mouth to help us spread our healthy messages to the world… so thank you!
