Some of us are all about New Year’s resolutions – while others believe that every day is an opportunity to live a dream, fulfill a goal, and be resolute.
Unfortunately, most people will tell you that resolutions are about changing something for the month of January, while going back to business as usual for the rest of the year.
January has just begun. And this year will be different.
The failure of most New Year’s resolutions may have to do with direction.
Think about it. Without our smartphones or GPS, we would need to use a paper map and maybe even a compass in order to make travel worthwhile. Otherwise, we may follow street signs and hearsay, without any real idea of where we are on the map.

This means making food a tasty and rewarding experience, even if you have removed most sugars from your diet. This also means keeping your blood sugar in balance by eating moderately throughout the day. Eating well benefits body, mind, and emotions. When you eat well, you will feel the difference!
3. Move and have fun. Movement is action, which is necessary for anything to get done. Movement also helps to restore the immune system and to repair cells. Believe or not, the same is true about having fun! So do both: move and have fun.
4. Think. Consciously. And with awareness. Thought is not always about being in the mind. Thought can support complete body awareness when you are actively engaged with your thoughts. The ability to observe these thoughts and to create new thoughts can have a profound affect on not only your goals but also on your total wellbeing.
