Good Collection of Recipes10/4/12
Sorry, first review submitted was for Lakanto Cookbook.
This cookbook had a wide range of appealing options, much more than Lakanto cookbook. I have not tried any recpies yet but this book seems to offer more recipes we would use. The info on baking pros and cons was helpful as I would not have known what to look for otherwise. So far, the family has not had a favorable response to the taste of the Stevia liquid or powder we have so I am hoping these recipes will get better reviews.
Simple But Not Family Friendly10/4/12
The recipes seem simple enough but we have 3 boys aged 10 and under and many of the dishes contain ingredients wtih what we grew up calling "an acquired taste." While we are changing our eating habits and they may well acquire a liking for these flavors, this cookbook does not offer the smooth transition I was hoping for from a sweetener so comparible to sugar. Thanks for the attempt, though.
I was a little disappointed with this book, because I thought the recipes would be more along the Body Ecology Diet guidelines. The recipes usually called for all purpose flour and other such ingredients that are not allowed on the BED Diet and there was no notes stating how to convert the recipe to the BED Diet either. The info on stevia was interesting. I have decided to keep the cookbook and not return it because I might experiment on converting some of the recipes.
Couldn't find ingredients5/9/12
This is the first item I bought from BE that I'm not thrilled with. I had a hard time finding the ingredients for the recipes I wanted to try. I gave up and haven't tried any of the recipes yet.
