Green smoothies are the perfect way to re-hydrate yourself in the morning. Green smoothies also alkalize your blood, which prevents disease. What’s even better? A green smoothie’s vitamins and minerals are quickly absorbed by the body, leaving you feeling fulfilled, clear minded, and after a while – happier! That’s right, happier! Greens are very expansive, which means they allow your body to relax.
An expansive green smoothie can be balanced by adding a pinch of mineral-rich Celtic Sea Salt, which is contracting in nature.

If you haven’t had one yet, the warm weather marks the best time to try these healthy smoothies. Oh, and they taste pretty great too!
Ingredients
- 3 organic cucumbers (wash, chop, keep peel)
- 1-cup celery root (peel and chop)
- 1 1emon (peel and cut into sections)
- 1 lime (peel and cut into sections)
- 1 organic green apple (wash and chop but keep seeds and core)*
- 2 inches ginger (peel and chopped)
- 1 heaping handful baby spinach
- Spring water and ice
- [optional] frozen berries, fermented coconut meat, cultured quinoa milk, coconut kefir, Stevia to sweeten.
- Begin by blending some cucumbers with water and keep adding in ingredients until smoothie is at a velvety consistency.
- Add lots of ice and blend again.
- Serve in glasses and drink with a straw.
You can make this family sized smoothie and drink it throughout the day, or over the course of 2 days.
* Green apples are sour fruit that are allowed on Body Ecology. Ideally, fruit should be eaten alone and on an empty stomach for best digestion This is a great smoothie if you are in transition to deeper healing with Body Ecology or if you have completely healed your digestive system. Eliminate the apple if you are dealing with candida-related problems and use some fermented coconut meat and Stevia to thicken and flavor your smoothie.
