Ocean Plant Extract is a raw, concentrated, exceptionally pure food supplement from the hardy, wild ocean vegetable called Laminaria japonica. What makes this product exceptional is the concentrated benefits of a naturally occurring, but not easily obtainable plant. The plant is hand-harvested in deep waters. Then, heavy outer fibers of the Laminaria are removed with low-temperature processing. Only the valuable nutrients remain in a potent and concentrated, fully digestible form.

Note: Regarding questions about testing for potential radioactive contamination of our raw botanical material supply - since our contract manufacturer sources the majority of our raw botanical material throughout China, and only have used a very limited number of seaweeds for extraction from coastal areas of China before the Japanese reactor issue became a problem, we are confident that no radioactive contaminated botanicals are being sourced. The availability of some seaweeds has been somewhat reduced and cost has increased because they are being thoroughly tested by the governments of China and Japan for potential exposure. For other botanicals, the high level of surveillance being conducted for radiation detection throughout China by the Chinese government assures us that proper measures are being taken. While some very low levels of radiation are being detected in China, and in various states of the US (CA, NY, MA, OR, MD, etc.) due to prevailing westerly winds from Japan, the levels are so low that they do not pose any health risk.

Sea plants are true superfoods. In this preparation, they are super concentrated for maximum benefit. I have read that sea plants are also very high in protein, as well as providing minerals that are hard to get even from many organically grown vegetables, due to the depletion of our soil. I have used two bottled of this product as well as 3 days/week of infrared sauna and my mecury levels were lower than before I started the process.
