The Body Ecology Guide to Frequency & Timing on 4 Healthy Habits

Are you having trouble fitting your health into your busy schedule? In our modern world, living a healthy lifestyle can sometimes be a challenge. Here’s our guide to four top healthy habits and when to incorporate them into your life for maximum benefits!

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.”

-John Rohn

Starting a new healthy routine can be fun, exhilarating and full of promise. Then after a few weeks (or even a few days), what once seemed new and exciting becomes burdensome, boring, and much more difficult to maintain than your old “normal” life.

But when it comes to your health, you can’t afford to let those new habits fall by the wayside.

Fortunately, we’ve created a guide to help you fit four simple-to-do healthy habits into your life, step by step, so that they become second nature.

Healthy Habit #1: Colon cleansing

Here’s why: Cleansing is one of the seven principles of the Body Ecology system for health and healing. The process of ridding your body of excess waste and toxins leaves you with a cleaner liver and lymph system. Your blood, cells, organs and immune system, become stronger and you look and feel younger and more energetic.

Focusing on colon cleansing by doing colon therapy, is an ideal first step to healthier habits because colonics and enemas ease those sometimes uncomfortable symptoms of detoxification that come when you embark on any healthier path.

Frequency and timing: Think of cleansing and detoxification as lifelong processes. Because we are constantly being exposed to new toxins, no matter how “clean” our lifestyle, we need to continually cleanse our colons on an “as needed” basis. Your body will let you know when it is feeling toxic.  Fatigue, swelling, bloating, constipation, gas, poor sleep, skin problems...there are thousands of signs that you body wants and needs to be purified.

When you are toxic...anytime of the year is the right time to cleanse but traditionally spring and summer are the traditional times in most cultures.

Just like you naturally want to “spring clean” your home when the weather turns warm and sunny, your liver naturally cleanses during the springtime too! A colon cleanse, starting in late February or early March, will support your body’s natural effort towards renewal.

Summer is a great time to cleanse. While you might have a more relaxed schedule, summer supplies us with an abundance of juicy fresh fruits and vegetables that help us stay cool, hydrated and happy. Summer is the playful, active season of the year.  The summer months are for sweating out even more toxins.

In the fall, as the weather changes from hot to cool, this temperature change triggers what we most of us call a “cold.” It’s a healthy cleansing and you should welcome it as it means you still have enough vitality to push out even more toxins. Colonics can come to the rescue and have you back on your feet in no time at all.

All busy people need time to recharge…and winter is the season to rest up and amass a new supply of energy. It is the season to be still and quiet and accumulate vital life force for the three busy seasons ahead. In winter your body needs warmer, heavier foods, more salt and oils to help you survive through the colder months. But if you feel you are toxic, don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment with your colon therapist or do a home enema with mineral implants.

Healthy Habit #2: Taking Probiotics

Here’s Why: Think of probiotics (healthy bacteria and yeast) as the foundation for your good health. Probiotic means “for life” and these good bacteria and yeast live in your gut where they help you digest food, manufacture vitamins, and even boost your immunity.

At Body Ecology, we recommend taking the RIGHT probiotics, found in certain fermented foods and drinks, like raw cultured vegetables and delicious probiotic liquids like Young Coconut Kefir

Timing and Frequency: As with any new habit, it’s best to start off slowly.

A morning probiotic liquid is a great way to begin your day. Start with two ounces in the morning and then as the day unfolds take in more. One of our favorite ways to serve Young Coconut Kefir, Cocobiotic, Dong Quai or InnergyBiotic is to fill a small champagne glass with one of these probiotic liquids and drink this with your noon and dinner meals to facilitate digestion.

Ideally every meal digests best if you include a serving of cultured vegetables. If you are sensitive to new foods and have problems with digestion, you might want to start with 2 TBLs and build to ½ cup per meal. Cultured veggies add that delicious, fresh, tangy flavor that not only enhances digestion, but also provides your intestines with a probiotic boost.

Healthy Habit # 3: Drinking Green Drinks

Here’s Why: Packed with algaes, grasses, green vegetables and all of their inherent nutrients, green drinks are an ideal way to get vitamins, minerals, protein and healthy fats quickly and easily.

Frequency and Timing:
A morning green drink, like Vitality SuperGreen (along or with your favorite probiotic liquid, alkalizes your blood and gives you lasting energy.

Fight the mid-afternoon slump with Vitality SuperGreen and you won’t need to reach for the caffeine or carbs to boost your energy!

Healthy Habit #4: Parasite Cleanse

Here’s why: Every day we are in situations where we could be exposed to parasites. These microorganisms can enter your system from fresh fruits and vegetables, animal proteins, insects, pets, contaminated water and are even passed from person to person!

Once they enter your system, these parasites stay there, living off the food and nutrients you take in and releasing harmful toxins that can cause a host of symptoms, illness and eventually disease.

An initial parasite cleanse can purge your body of these nasty organisms and regular follow-up can keep you parasite-free.

Timing and Frequency: A first-time parasite cleanse is a real commitment, but the results are phenomenal. If you use an effective product, you’ll actually see things comings out!

Before undertaking a parasite cleanse, make sure that you have adequately cleansed your colon. You need to be sure that your pathways for detoxification are open before you’re ready to eliminate the parasites. And during the parasite cleanse we strongly suggest regular colon cleansing sessions. You can feel pretty miserable when those parasites start to become aggravated. It’s better to just rinse them on out of you.
