In month two of our six-month Body Ecology free life coaching series, we are going to jump right in and start to clean up some of the most important areas of our lives.
Are you ready?
If you recall part 1 of the Best YOU Ever series, I asked you to write your vision for your best health. If you haven’t done that yet (or if you are reading this series for the first time), I encourage you to do this exercise, even if you take just five minutes to visualize your best health, focusing especially on how it feels.
Now that you are aware of your vision of your best health, it’s time to start putting it into action in your life!
You may remember that Body Ecology founder Donna Gates teaches that before you heal, you need to create energy.
The same thing is true for your vision!
If you are like most people, your vision feels far away in the future. Some people are so worried that they won’t be able to achieve their vision, that they avoid dreaming big. The thing is, you CAN achieve your vision and I’ll cover some simple strategies later in this series.
But first, let’s focus on removing what is draining your energy, so that you can get ready to take action on your vision!
Changing Bad Habits - Remove Those Energy Drains
Truth is, many things can rob your energy and enthusiasm: people, certain activities, negative thoughts, work you don’t love and obligations are just some of them.
So how do you know something is robbing your energy?
You’ll know that something is robbing you of your energy and enthusiasm when you feel tired just thinking about it.
An easy example is to think about your friends. Is there a friend with whom you feel uplifted and energized? What emotions come up?
Are there any friends who you suspect drain your energy? Think about a friend who drains your energy or is hard to be around. How do you feel? What emotions come up?
Here are some examples of energy drains:
Where Your Energy Goes, Your Moods Go
Whether you are aware of it or not, where your energy goes, your mood goes. So if your energy is drained, you are likely to feel sad, low or depressed. You might also feel emotions like fear and anger. Over time, these emotions can become toxic, which has damaging effects on your body.
Donna Gates is actually teaching about this right now in her Detoxification Training, which is receiving rave reviews.
This happened to me. In fact, years ago, when I looked at my own life, I realized I had friends, thoughts and food that were robbing me of my energy. In order to truly feel energized and enthusiastic enough to work toward my vision, I needed to remove these energy drains from my life.
I’ll be honest here...it wasn’t easy! I worked with my coach to set goals and actions that would help me to clean up my life and break some of my bad habits.
Here is an action plan for you to follow:
Change Bad Habits – It’s Easier Than You Think
Finally Free From Sugar! If you haven’t been able to eliminate sugar addiction, you are not alone. We all need the sweet taste, but there are better – and healthier – ways to get it. Lakanto IS safe for anyone ... kids, diabetics, people watching their weight, hypoglycemics, and, of course, anyone with a sweet tooth. And yes, Lakanto bakes and tastes like sugar, without the many downsides...that's why so many people can beat sugar addiction with delicious Lakanto! Satisfy your sweet tooth the healthy way with Lakanto. |
The action plan above may seem really simple, but the beauty of simplicity is it works! I most recently did this action plan with my husband, Joel, a confirmed sugar-aholic.
Joel knew sugar addiction was robbing his energy and contributing to weight gain, yet he was having a difficult time eliminating sugar.
So we created an action plan, following all the steps above. Joel was a challenge for me as a Body Ecology coach because he didn’t like Stevia or xylitol, so while he was able to eat healthier, it was proving difficult for him to end his sugar addiction.
When Body Ecology’s Lakanto came out, we decided to try it. Now I have to admit that Joel was a bit skeptical because of the price of Lakanto, but we bought some anyway to see if it would work.
And it did! Joel loved Lakanto and started using it in his tea. After two weeks, he stopped eating processed foods and drinking sugary drinks. This was the first time that he was able to fully commit to the Body Ecology program. We began making meals together and within a month, Joel had lost 10 pounds, his energy soared and he no longer had lower back pain.
Take Time to Create Energy Because YOU Matter
YOU matter – and how you feel matters. What may seem like an investment in time or money when making a change is nothing compared to how great good health feels.
Do you want to change bad habits that are draining your energy? This month, take a look at what’s draining your energy and create your own action plan. Once you remove the things robbing your energy, you can start to focus on bringing the energy of your vision into your life right now.
