Does Vitality SuperGreen and Vitality SuperGreen Capsules Have Gluten?

By Donna Gates, BodyEcology.com Founder

If you are concerned about your gluten intake, you may still be able to use new and improved Vitality SuperGreen Capsules in your gut-nourishing routine, even though there is a trace amount of gluten.

Here’s what Body Ecology founder, Donna Gates says about gluten in Vitality SuperGreen Capsules:

“We had our Vitality SuperGreen Formula tested for gluten. To our surprise we learned it had trace amounts and always has had it.  Once we discovered there was gluten in the formula, we researched each individual ingredient and discovered it was because of the GlutImmune.

GlutImmune, made from red wheat berries, is a non-dairy source of the amino acid glutamine that is covalent bonded, making it much more digestible.

Glutamine is an important amino acid because it is a precursor to glutathione.

Glutathione is your body’s MASTER antioxidant and is found in EVERY cell in your body. This gives glutathione the unique and unparalleled ability to fight free radicals that cause aging, disease and gut problems. 1

In fact, GlutImmune is a key ingredient for healing the intestinal mucosa.

We intentionally include it along with certain other gut-healing ingredients in Vitality SuperGreeen
and Vitality SuperGreen Capsules  to help heal the inflamed digestive tract.

It not only helps heal the gut, but also it then protects your intestines. We sell thousands of jars per month to people who have very compromised immune systems and sometimes severe gut issues like colitis, Crohn’s, and gluten intolerance.

The reports we get back are very positive and people rave over how it has helped them.

Even with the trace amount of gluten, the entire formula of Vitality SuperGreen synergistically contributes to healing your gut. It’s the Glutimmune that provides the uniquely digestible form of glutamine your gut NEEDS to heal.

Clearly the gluten issue is not as cut and dry as we once thought it was.

Another example of this are two of our fermented probiotic liquids, Whole Grains Biotic and Dong Quai.

Their labels list wheat, rye and barley as some of the ingredients.  To make these special fermented liquids these grains are gathered together and the beneficial microflora on them are “harvested” from the grains.

The microflora then mulitply and “dine” upon the grains as the liquid ferments. This process creates super-potent, first generation microflora can easily survive stomach acids and other digestive enzymes so that they can colonize in your large and small intestines. The gluten (or protein) in those grains is now broken down, or pre-digested or re-structured so that your body does not read them as merely gluten anymore.

If you don’t know this and just take a look at the label, you would naturally avoid the Whole Grain Biotic and Dong Quai because of the glutinous grains listed there.

However you would be missing out on an opportunity to colonize your intestines with gluten-loving microflora that could be exactly what you need to be able to tolerate glutinous grains again someday.

Once upon a time I couldn’t eat gluten either. In fact it immediately affected my nervous system causing me to feel anxious, spacey and really exhausted. So I avoided it entirely

Now, even though I don't chose to eat bread for several reasons, I could now eat an entire loaf and have none of those old symptoms. I make sure my inner ecosystem is colonized with beneficial, gluten-loving microflora.

If you are concerned about gluten in Vitality SuperGreen, I'd suggest that you take time, become quiet and still, and listen to your intuition. Go with what seems right for you and your unique, one-of-a-kind body.”
