It is her mission to transform people’s lives and health by showing them how to successfully (and profitably) do what they love. At Body Ecology, we’ve always been a proponent of emotional healing and energy healing. Heather’s series will explore the connection with food, mood, energy healing and well-being. You can find out more about Heather at www.NowRadiantHealth.com.

We are now in month three of our six-month Body Ecology free life coaching series!

And if you took action in part 1 and part 2 of the Best YOU Ever series, you have done the first two critical steps: writing your vision for your best life and health AND removing energy drains from your life.

If you have not read part 1 and part 2, I highly recommend you start there and then resume here with part 3. Because as Donna Gates always says, changing your life and your health is a step-by-step process.

Bringing Your Vision Into Your Life NOW

Now that you are aware of your vision of your best health and you’ve removed energy drains that zap your energy, it’s time to start putting your vision into action in your life!

The first step is to bring the energy of your vision into your life right now.

What does that mean?

If you are like most people, your vision feels far away in the future. It is something for you to stretch towards. The good news is, once your vision is clear, it’s easier to start taking action. So let’s start with an example.

Living Your Vision Right Now

When I first wrote my vision, one of the things I wanted was to be a life and health coach. At the time, I was working in a corporate job. So I started with two things to bring the energy of being a life and health coaching into my life immediately.

First, I began taking classes to become a certified life coach. Taking classes, studying and practicing coaching allowed me to be in the energy of actually being a life coach.

And second, I began to incorporate coaching with my employees. At the time, coaching in the workplace was still new, but gaining popularity. That year, my team was the highest performing team in my business unit.

Because I had removed the things that were draining my energy, both steps were easily taken while I was still working full time in a very busy corporate job.

Now let’s use an example for your health goals.

Get out your vision and review it. In your vision, what does it say about how you want to feel?

When you are clear about how you want to feel, you can start focusing on bringing more of that into your life. For example, let’s say you want to feel free. Ask yourself, what makes me feel free? Perhaps it’s having some time to do whatever you feel like doing. Maybe it’s sitting on a rock and looking out at the view or simply doing nothing.

Once you decide what makes you feel free, start incorporating that into your life now, even if you only have 5 minutes. Give yourself time in your day to feel the way you want to feel.

Another example might be that you want to feel healthy. What makes you feel healthy? Perhaps it’s when you eat a delicious Body Ecology meal or when you exercise.

It’s critical to take some time in your day -- at least a few days per week -- to be or do what you love…to start participating in what you envision for your best health.

The reason it’s critical, is that it brings the energy of your vision into your life now, so that you don’t feel like you have to wait until the future to get what you want, to be who you want or to feel how you want. You can have those things now! And once you get a taste of what you want now, you will realize it’s not so hard to create more of it in the future.

The step-by-step principle says that you take one step at a time and that over time, baby steps add up to big changes in a way that does not overwhelm.

This is what you are going for here.

Your Action Plan for Bringing Your Vision Into Your Life NOW

This process works with anything, even if it’s a tangible object.

One of the things in my vision was to have a home in the Caribbean so I could escape the cold northeastern winters.

The first thing I did was look at real estate when I was in the Caribbean on vacation. I found a tiny cottage that seemed affordable, but was baffled about how I’d make it work financially.

When I went home, my husband and I created a detailed budget and realized we were spending out money on things that didn’t matter to us. Once we made some adjustments, we realized we could afford the house!

It took us a year to get everything in place, but the good news is, we started taking action right away and saw the possibility in our future. During that year, I posted a picture of the house we wanted in my bedroom and at work, so that I had the ENERGY of it in my life right now. I visualized myself living in the house, working there and looking out at the ocean when I awoke.

That’s when I realized that even goals that seem impossible CAN happen once you get creative about the solutions. And that even if you can’t have them right away, you can bring the energy of them into your life now, through visualization.

Here is an action plan to bring your vision into your life now:

  1. Take a look at your vision and notice what you wrote about how you want to feel. Alternatively, you might decide you want to pick a tangible result you want to achieve. The key is, pick one thing and stick with it until you are ready for the next step.
  2. Write down what makes you feel that way. If you are working on a tangible result, write down a plan for what it will take to get that result.
  3. Now what action can you take right now, that brings the ENERGY of that feeling or that tangible object into your life now? Here are some examples:
    • If you want to be pain free, but you still have pain, focus on visualizing being pain free. How would it be if you were pain free? How would you feel? What would you do? Visualize that. Cut out pictures that represent how you’d feel and what you’d be doing and post them in your house or workspace.
    • If you want to feel fit, you can use the same visualization technique, but take it a step further if you can. Start taking time, even if it’s only 5 minutes, to do something you love that makes you feel fit.
    • If you want to be happy, identify what makes you feel happy and take some time each day to do that. Or simply take at least 5 minutes to sit with the feeling of being happy. This is the “fake it till you make it” technique that many health gurus recommend. Consider increasing the amount of time you sit with the feeling of happiness each day. Notice what happens in other parts of your life.
    • Innergy-Biotic

This one simple action can help you eat healthy, feel healthy and feel energized in just minutes! One of the easiest steps you can take to feel great is to sip 2 oz. of a probiotic liquid like energizing Innergy-Biotic. One of our most delicious and most popular probiotic liquids, Innergy-Biotic aids your digestion and helps boost your energy and immunity. Learn more about Innergy-Biotic and start sipping your way to health and high energy today!

    • If you want to eat healthy meals, select some recipes from The Body Ecology Diet for the coming week and then commit to buying the groceries and making those recipes. Consider time-saving tips like making them on the weekend and storing them for the upcoming week. Keep it simple by choosing easy recipes at first and building up over time.
    • If you want to feel energized, find out what it takes to feel that way and invest some time in it. Whether you visualize feeling energized or take action, like sipping 2 oz. of probiotic rich Innergy-Biotic each day, notice how that starts to change your life for the better.

You get the idea! Use visualization and invest some time each day in achieving your goal or feeling the way you want to feel. What you are doing is creating a new habit that will have big rewards as you commit to taking action each day – even if it’s a small step.

(These last three steps might sound familiar...because they are! These last steps are part of an important formula for success that coaches and corporate consultants know really work!)
  4. Check in. At the end of the day, check in and see how you are doing. Rather than judge yourself for things you didn’t do, notice what you did do and how you felt because of it. Track how your actions are affecting your result. But remember, if you judge a tiny result as not being good enough, you are less likely to stick with it.

At first, results may be small, but over time, they add up. So if you only feel a tiny bit better, don’t negatively judge yourself! Instead, express gratitude for that tiny improvement and commit to continuing again tomorrow.

Check in again after a few weeks and a few months. Notice the improvements you are making and express gratitude them! The emotion of gratitude is one of the most healing we can experience.
  5. Celebrate. This is a very important way to express gratitude for the steps you are taking. At the end of each week and each month, celebrate how far you’ve come. Remember, no judgment...everyone shifts at their own pace. This is YOUR process, so honor it!
  6. Reward yourself. Choose something fun to reward yourself. Maybe it’s a day off, a week off or something you’ve wanted to do for a long time. You decide what motivates you and use that as a reward. In this way, you acknowledge that you’ve made an important and healthy change in your life. It’s a big deal and you deserve to reward yourself!

So now that you have an action plan, it’s time to do this in your own life. Just imagine how only a small step can bring about big changes in your life! Do it today and you may find that your tomorrow already looks better. Your vision is closer than you think!
